10:34 AM

For several months now, I’ve also been experimenting with improving certain abilities and there are no end of ways to do this. For several months, as an example, every time I used the elevators in my building, I would take a moment to “see” which elevator would arrive first before pressing the button. It took considerable trail and error to understand the results. I found that some days I could be correct as high as 100% of the time while others I referred to as “opposite days”. For some strange reason, that I finally began to realize after a time, the progress I was making was very similar to when I first began remote viewing. A seemingly rapid improvement over the course of a week or two would then drop off to almost no accuracy, as far as catching the signal line. Before I read a book by Ed McMoneagle entitled “Mind Trek”, I erroneously assumed that I had lost the ability to remote view but those peaks and valleys, according to this recognized expert, are to be expected. Exercising this particular “psychic muscle” is very similar to beginning an exercise program for the physical body. Great gains are made and then the rest of our body has to race to catch up and we experience what appears to be a loss of ability. The key is to continue to work through the temporary adversity and never lose faith that we are progressing as we should – no slower and no quicker. Our guides and our spirit know exactly what is going on.

I still continue to do this but not with the same type of energy as I once did. A large reason for this is that my conscious mind would sometimes be aware of the elevator’s programming. For example, I began to realize that at certain times of the day, the south elevator would always arrive first and I was not relying on the psychic process but rather the knowledge of this programming to “guess” the outcome.

One of the most interesting aspects of this whole series of experiments was that I found my “guesses” would reveal themselves in different ways. At first, it was like a light winking on in one of my eyes and more recently, I would get a very slight twitch in one of my eyes and know which elevator would arrive first. At other times, it would be my hands or fingertips that would get a quick sensation.

If you're thinking about trying this, or similar exercises, it's wise to have an idea of what you want to accomplish but even more importantly, how to ask for it. Because we are each unique, our psychic gifts manifest in equally unique fashion. If I were to use some of the online testing for psychic abilities that I've taken - and  failed miserably - as an example, I would never have realized that my particular abilities do not lie in that direction.

The final and crucial point that I wanted to emphasize was that, each time, whether I was "successful" or not, I would also breathe a mental thank you to my guides. I did not include this until about five months ago but it just "felt" right to do so. Similarly, I've begun taking a quick few seconds each evening to thank my guides for any lessons learned or insights gained during that day.

And now for something completely different....The collection of short stories I've been working feverishly on for several months is finally complete....big time relief but short-lived. After re-reading one of the novels to orient myself  - "The God/dess Remnant" - after not seeing it for some time, I realized there is still quite a bit of work to do to be ready for fall equinox. As you may know, if you come by here with any regularity, I love working with certain entities and the final story in the collection was an absolutely incredible ride...I always seem to have stiff shoulders, though, after a session. Perhaps my invitation should not include sitting on my shoulders as I write...

When there are more than one, apparently it is perfectly acceptable for a reporter to describe them this way- even if the focus of the story is about the "muliple god" worshipping Wiccan who holds a winning Mega Millions lottery ticket. This is CNN, not a hometown paper, that marvels over this strange creature called a Wiccan without getting into much detail about what exactly that might be- they know it's newsworthy, but not why. A quick look at some of the other versions of the story has the same results- yet none seem to be interested enough to look any further.

Travelers on Vatican airlines discovered the hard way they're still subject to those silly airline restrictions on liquids. On a related note, what do you do with hundreds of little bottles of Lourdes water?

Another art controversy erupts over a burka'd Virgin Mary and a lenticular Jesus/Osama. This time, Muslim and Christian religious leaders are the voice of reason, while politicians do what politicians are wont to do.

Activists in Ohio are hell-bent on removing street signs honoring Monsignor Jerome Schmit, because he dared defend Father Gerald Robinson, improbably convicted of the Satanic ritual murder of a nun (!) more than twenty years ago.

A medicine man planning his own resurrection leaped into a river accompanied by chanting, promising to return from the spirit world in three days. After he did not reappear on schedule, followers went looking for him and discovered his decomposing corpse on the riverside.

Camp for those who see dead people
They see dead people on Spook Hill. They're walking around the grounds, sitting in the dining hall and in the pews at the abandoned church. Kids, heard by visitors but usually only seen by those trained to see into the spirit world, play outside the rustic and run-down cabins. "Oh yeah, they're all over the place," says Judy Ulch, a jovial 60-year-old who claims not only to see dead people but also receive messages from them that she passes on to their loved ones who pay $40 per half hour for her services.

Eye of Horus

Resembling the eye of a falcon, this symbol represents the right eye of the Egyptian God Horus. As the udjat (or utchat), it represented the sun. The mirror image, or left eye, represented the moon. (A very similar concept appears in Hindu tradition) According to legend, the eye was torn from Horus by Seth, and magically restored by Thoth, the God of magick. After the restoration, Horus made a gift of it to Osiris. The Eye of Horus was believed to have healing and protective power, and it was used as a protective amulet, and as a mathematical device to prepare medications. The masonic all seeing eye, the Eye of Providence symbol found on American money, and our modern Rx pharmaceutical symbol are all derived from the Eye of Horus.

Dames of Malta

This secret fraternal order, also known as Ladies of the Knight Hospitallers of St. John of Jerusalem, were originally named Ladies of Malta. In 1902, it was consolidated with the Daughters of Malta, assuming its present name. This order is an auxiliary to the Ancient and Iluustrious Order Knights of Malta, whose governing body is known as the Zenodacia, with branches called Sisterhoods. At one time, candidates for membership had to be white female Protestants, over 16, not married to a Roman Catholic, able to write and speak English and able to pursue some useful occupation.

This order claims to be direct descendents of the ancient Sisterhood of Hospitaller Dames of Jerusalem and proudly announces that it is the only Knightly Order that has one password that will gain them admittance to all Council Chambers around the globe.

See you in the ether !

Hi Nick, welcome back. :)

As I was reading about the elevator exercise I was wondering about that drop, whether it was related to the conscious mind starting to filter in the ‘logic’ based on your familiarity with the building, its daily ‘pulse’ etc, the two poles knocking heads...but you covered that and also made clear you are well aware of the other factors. :)

I know, saw that article about “Wicca’ winning” myself. Hey, what can you do? Society--particularly the Media--LOVES to categorize and segregate. Sells to ‘speak’ to confined minds like that, as well as any ‘shock’ value must not be wasted. $$$ The jerks. (Literally, because they jerk people around.) Gods knows our shop has been featured more than once in the papers, we read and see that 80% was simply made-up stuff from out the reporter’s own, wee little mind. Then statements takes so far out of context as to be...well, the mind reels is all I can say.
Sighs.

Still, at least that particular article was something positive, can’t poo-poo total on that. At this point, we should take what we can get.

Luck with the writing! I find it very helpful to take some time, walk away and then come back for a re-read. Once you are out of that ‘state’ where you 1st penned it, and pulled back, you get to see how others, your readers will see it, themselves not having been in that place.

Hey, my left shoulder ALWAYS aches. Yeah, I know I channel a lot. Hmm, writing from the heart, possibly it is a matter of the Receptive Side being forced to manifest something? Item for contemplation at least.

Cheers and blessings,
Melissa

Hey Nick. Glad you liked the werewolf piece. LOL

For myself, I'm doing my usual, thanks. Boy, I know EXACTLY what you mean by that rollercoaster and the sleep with less energy!

As for vibrations noticed recently...man, it is like something took a breadth and is holding it. A sense of, not quite limbo, more like the calm before the storm, or perhaps sitting in the eye of one, one where you can just make out some sort of motion at the edge of your vision, something rolling in wait. Keeping fingers crossed.

Beyond that, we are kicking things into high-gear here. Have actually started packing, which seems so surreal, because we haven't even put our house on the market OR had hint of the new place we are going to move to, only there is an almost panic not to be caught with our pants down when things pop. Like I said, it is very surreal...

No, nothing further happening with that entity which visited. Heh, think I got my point across on that score. ;) Man, was I ticked off! LOL

Note there is some other 'examples' done on that date, but it isn't very nice.
Cheers and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF during these trying times,

Hey Nick,

Looks like Bravenet is going to cancel my Vivianight account soon. Matter of discrimination. It seems the fact that I have a gay romance fiction story on my website--which is NOT hosted by Bravenet--offends them as “adult contents”. The fact that this rule DOES NOT APPLY to the published erotic, romance and horror writers and authors who do use Bravenet services proves my case. Fact that this rule also does not apply to average bloggers relating their own crude, graphic sexual drugged and drunk exploits proves it further.

As you have read my journal, you may understand how emotionally upset I am about this. I put my heart and soul into that thing, was writing about all the bad stuff, the trials, images of my murals which are to be painted over, the loss of my garden, basically making a record so the growth and positive changes I hope for would finish the tale.

So much for that. There is simply nothing left to reconstruct such a thing elsewhere. These bigots ripped my heart out, I am done. ~ Melissa.

But of course! How else did they get elected to office? :P I hate politics; it's only a necessary evil...

...Honestly, I wouldn't trust someone who was going to make me pay $40 for half an hour of messages from "the other side." It doesn't sound genuine to me. :\
